Lacking California lady scheduled to satisfy with divorce attorney the day she disappeared, household lawyer says – Fox Information

Maya Millete, the California mother of three who has been missing for nearly four months, set up an appointment with a divorce attorney the day she went missing, an attorney who helps the family told Fox News on Wednesday .

“She filled out the form. She wanted to meet with a divorce attorney. It was a Thursday,” said Billy Little, referring to the date she was last seen at the family home in Chula Vista on January 7, 2021. The city is located in San Diego County near the border between the United States and Mexico.

“The following Tuesday was her appointment. But she filled out the entire form on the day she went missing,” Little said.

Her husband, Larry Millete, was reportedly the last to see her. He first told the authorities that his wife had gone to have some alone time. But her family became concerned when she didn’t return for her daughter’s 11th birthday.

Millete’s sister Maricris Drouaillet and Drouaillet’s husband Richard led the search for Millete. Larry participated in some search efforts early on, but eventually stopped working with the police.

Fox News reached out to her husband with a request for comment but received no response prior to posting.

Eric Thunberg, Chula Vista police captain, told KSWB, the Fox-affiliated San Diego television station, that Millete’s disappearance “is not a cold case.”

“We have an investigator and a team of investigators that we call in when necessary. This detective has been working pretty much full time since it started,” he said.
